The United Nations Peace Memorial provides information on the Korean War and the UN Allied Nations, and remembers the importance of peace, for which the heroic veterans of the UN Forces had devoted and sacrificed their lives. We also operate various education programs in order to cultivate promising individuals that will help build a peaceful and sustainable future and open educations rooms for related programs.
The Peace School, where we learn about the importance of the UN Allied Nations and peacekeeping, “Blood, Sweat & Tears: Finding the Heroes,” where we go on a journey in search of the hidden tales of the Korean War and Veterans of the UN Forces; Global Citizenship Training, for a sustainable future; Mock International Conference Training, where we can train to become global human resources through mock international conference experiences; Operation Peacekeeping, a learning festival during which we remember the Korean War and the UN Allied Nations through various experiences and express the idea of peace through drawing; Experiencing the Refugee Camp; and other various programs targeting officers or soldiers serving in the Korean Army, etc. We plan various permanent training and special training programs that are held each year for visitors of various ages, and we also carry out research on heroic veterans of the UN Forces to provide information on the people who have fought for Korea and their devoted deeds.
The United Nations Peace Memorial will continue to remember and commemorate the Korean War and the UN Allied Nations, and the veterans of the UN Forces, and we will endeavor to develop more excellent education programs and provide them to a wider range of people, so that the seed of peace may one day blossom.
