What about admission fees, viewing hours, and holidays?

Admission is free and viewing hours are from 10:00 - 18:00. Every Monday · Lunar New Year · New Year‘s Day · Chuseok Holiday. However, if Monday is a holiday, the day after will be the closure date.

Every exhibition and all information in the Memorial includes an English explanation. In some permanent exhibitions, Japanese and Chinese, in addition to English, are provided. English, Japanese, and Chinese leaflets are available at the front desk.

The United Nations Peace Memorial provides a service for smart tours through a mobile application based on close range telecommunications technology called Beacon. If the app is activated in the exhibition, it automatically detects your location; after doing so, detailed explanations of nearby displays and workings are displayed on your screen. A manual search service is also available, which allows you to search for displays that you’re interested in. Information on the 357 displays in the permanent exhibition is provided. We have also developed and are providing 7 types of content, including AR and animation of the main artifacts. If you want to use it, please search “Memorial Facilities” or “War and Military Museum Smart Exhibition Guide” on Google Play or the App Store and download one of them.

Are photoshoots or journalistic coverage allowed?

▶ For general visitors The Memorial allows visitors to shoot photos for their happy memories. However, for the preservation of displays, flash and tripods are not allowed. Excessive shutter sounds or the touching of displays could disrupt the experience of other visitors. We look forward to your cooperation for a pleasant viewing experience for all visitors.

Yes, the United Nations Peace Memorial is a memorial facility under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs; therefore, it is different from the UN Memorial Cemetery. The United Nations Peace Memorial is a 5-minute walk from the UN Memorial Cemetery, located across the hill.
